I’m Bryce Faucheaux, an Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, specializing in wine consulting, program development, and education for restaurants and hotels. I help businesses curate wine lists, design tasting experiences, train staff, and elevate beverage programs to create memorable and profitable guest experiences.
How I got my start in wine:
From late 2016 to early 2018, I moved to the Los Angeles wine scene, working as a sommelier and a wine specialist. In 2018, I moved back to New Orleans and briefly was a wine broker before going back to restaurants. From 2019 to 2025, I worked for the Due South Restaurant Hospitality Group at Balise Tavern, La Petite Grocery, and Justine Brasserie. From 2019 until 2021, I was a floor sommelier at Justine; taking over as wine director in 2021 until closing in 2025.
What I’m doing today:
Aside from consulting, while studying for the Master Sommelier exam, I also bring my expertise to the Old Metairie Bottle Shop, where I continue to engage with customers through curated selections and educational experiences. In 2025, I won the Ruinart Sommelier Challenge, a blind tasting challenge held in 10 cities worldwide every year.
Through my consulting work, media contributions, and hands-on programming, I aim to blend technical expertise with storytelling, making wine approachable, exciting, and tailored to each client’s vision.
